Biography . A bit about Adolfo This multi-talented and unique performer came to country crossroads in a bit of a roundabout way. Born in Long Beach, California, Adolfo splits his time working for Comdata as an Operations Supervisor in Brentwood, Tennessee and working country audiences with his smoother than smooth style. Adolfo first performed on stage at age 10 at Knotts Berry Farm in Anaheim, California. He majored in sound engineering in college and went on to live sound reinforcement in the rock & roll field as well as performing at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. After moving to Phoenix, Arizona in 1989, Adolfo decided to go back to his country roots where he felt more at home. Adolfo's country break came when he was inspired to write his first Gospel song, "Down by the River of Life" which won a Gospel Song of the Year honor in Phoenix. Soon after hooking up with PJ Entertainment, he then recorded his first solo album in Nashville "Western Attitude" in which he shot his first music video. Next up was a television commercial contest for a large market country station (KMLE), in which he wrote a song, produced and directed the commercial and won the contest. The commercial was aired several times during the 1995 Academy of Country Music Awards in the Phoenix area. The commercial sparked interest in the artist who could work comfortably from both sides of the stage. Adolfo was given the opportunity to open for Gene Watson, The Oak Ridge Boys, Bryan White, Toby Keith, Joe Diffie, Lari White and Neal McCoy in the Phoenix area. In July of 1996, Adolfo wound up moving to Wisconsin and performed with a local established band, "Working Class," through which Adolfo met his good friend and co-writing partner, Peter Spero. A short time later, he recorded and released his second solo album which did very well in the surrounding areas of Wisconsin and Illinois. One of the biggest breaks he has acquired is hooking up with a local record producer, in Nashville. Adolfo and his producer have developed a great relationship and are adept to all facets of the country music genre. Three Days could easily be a staple on any country station with it's fun in the sun groove. "I Do", written by Adolfo could end up being one of the most popular wedding songs, according to local Nashville songwriters. His music has created a fresh interest among country fans, young and old and given the ultimate break, Adolfo could have a long term foothold in country music entertainment. |
